Very interesting and challenging article. Thanks Tim. A question: Tim what's your background and especially your teaching experience and areas of academic subject matter?

Kia ora Neale, and thanks for reading. I agree it does present a couple of challenges. It will be very interesting to see how it develops. However, in 2015, I wrote a blog post about assessment in 2020, and none of that eventuated, although I feel like the AI space will have a rapid impact!

I am currently postgraduate director at academyEX (The Mind Lab). I work with teachers throughout the country on their practice-based change projects for the Master of Contemporary Education course we deliver - this is a very rewarding role. We are proud to share some of their work through our peer-reviewed journal He Rourou (https://herourou.academyex.ac.nz/index.php/herourou/index) if you are interested to find out more. My doctoral study was on using collaborative and synchronous coaching to reduce the theory-practice divide in initial teacher education, and this has come in handy while working with educators. Prior to my ten years with academyEX I was a teacher at Gisborne Boys High School, another role that I feel lucky to have been involved in, I still miss the energy of the school each day! Thanks again for leaving a comment.
